Student instructions:

Choose one of the following examples of classical Greek art for this exercise:

1. Aphrodite of Cnidus.
2. Doryphorus.
3. Athena Parthenos.
4. amphora
5. Doric column

Using the AMICO Library:

1. Find one or more examples, in any medium or period, of a work of art that copies, adapts, or is inspired by the Greek work you have chosen.
2. In a 250-word essay, compare and contrast the works you have chosen with the original Greek model. Pay particular attention to the classical Greek notions of beauty.
3. Include an illustration and full caption for each work of art you discuss.
